Don’t Miss the Master Gardeners’ Learning Garden at the Tillamook County Fair

You will “BEE” welcome at the Tillamook County Master Gardeners’ Learning Garden just inside the Fairground’s Main Gate during the County Fair this week.

Treat yourself to a respite from the excitement of the Fair and enjoy the lovely gardens, filled with flowers and vegetables. Be sure and check out the new raised beds where we are testing types of soil to be used for our Plant Sale in May, 2026. Take some fun photos at the photo board as we honor “100 Years of Pig ‘n’ Ford” races.

Supporting our Community
Tillamook County Master Gardeners support the community through education classes, conducting plant clinics through the growing season, and at Farmers Markets in Manzanita, Rockaway Beach, Tillamook and Neskowin. 387 pounds of produce grown in the Learning Garden was donated to the Food Bank in 2024.

Growing our Value
Master Gardeners throughout the state worked with community partners to reach gardening skills in 116 gardens. In 2023 Oregon had 2,402 Active Master Gardeners, made 100,528 public contacts, answered 33,847 gardening questions, harvested 30 tons of food and contributed 108,530 volunteer hours to Oregonians worth more than $3.7 million.
