Tillamook County Master Gardeners Learning Garden will be hosted by volunteers during the Tillamook Headlight Herald Home & Garden Show and 2023 Bee Day Saturday April 29 and 30 at the Tillamook County Fairgrounds.

Master Gardeners and the 2023 class of Apprentices have been cleaning, pruning, weeding, planting and generally sprucing up the garden in preparation for Spring (if it ever gets here…) and will be staffed throughout the Home & Garden Show. You are invited to wander through and talk with the Master Gardeners. We will be happy to answer questions and assist with recommendations for your home garden.
Hope Stanton, Tillamook County Master Gardener, is delivering a presentation “A look at Pollination and Pollinators” at 1pm during the Sunday Workshop. Hope is an expert on native plants and can offer recommendations of landscape plants to help attract pollinators to your yard.
Of exceptional Note: The Tillamook County Master Gardener Chapter is celebrating 35 years plus the 50-year anniversary of the Master Gardener program:
50 years ago, the Master Gardener program began at Washington State University. The Co-Founder & WSU Urban Horticulturalist, David Gibby, believed in the power of volunteers. What began with 300 volunteers in Washington state has grown to over 84,000 volunteers showing up in communities across the country! Say thanks to a Master Gardener …..
